I don't have a photography degree, can I still take the course?
When selecting students we are looking for people who will engage fully with the teaching programme and at the same time demonstrate the necessary skills to complete the set assignments. You will not be excluded if you have not studied photography as long as you have a well developed folio. If you have graduated with a BA/BSc in a related subject within the past two years we would expect you to have achieved a first or upper second degree. Mature students coming back into education with professional or teaching experience and/or having traveled extensively will be considered on the strength of their portfolio and written work.

The course starts in January and is one year in duration full time. The year is divided into three terms. Students basing their study in China also have the option of attending the course online though still need to attend two intensive teaching sessions (2 weeks each) in Dalian, China. The teaching schedule varies between Bolton and Dalian. Please contact the course leader of the programme where you want to study for a detailed schedule.
