This course runs simultaneously at two teaching centres, one in Bolton/UK and the other in Dalian/China. All students that enroll need to choose one of the learning centres to start their study.

It is possible for students to switch learning centres at the end of each term or to travel to the other learning centre to base a project during the course.

Online Option
Students wishing to base their studies in China have the option of completing parts of the course as distance learning students using the virtual learning environment to keep in touch with the rest of the cohort. This is designed primarily for professional photographers or photo educators who do not require technical support with assignments.

Why Dalian?
Dalian College of Image Art (a department of Dalian Medical University) has run the largest and most respected BA photography course in China for over 12 years. The department is probably the largest academic photography facility in the world and has good facilities and friendly staff. The University has been hosting foreign photography students for some years and is able to set up accomodation and offer other help where needed.

The University is on the edge of Dalian, a modern coastal city with easy access to Beijing and the rest of China. There is a large international airport from which you can take short flights to Korea, Japan, Siberia, Mongolia and many other destinations.
