Fred Chan Wins Commision

Bolton cohort student Fred Chan has won a £5,000 photography commission to work on a project called World of Dance in celebration of the cultural diversity of Liverpool through an exhibition of images from 6 dance communities - Indian, African. Chinese, Irish, Salsa and 3rd Age (older people). The images will be shot using community based dance groups and will result in an exhibition in Feb 2008 which will open with dance performances from some of the groups involved.

MA Course Features in BJP

The MA Photography course had a triple exposure in the 21st March, 9th and 16th May editions of the British Journal of Photography. The first came with an interview with China Cohort course leader D J Clark in an article about Chinese photography. UK cohort student Simon Webb featured in the Project Assistance Award back pages of the magazine on the 9th May and a feature on the China Cohort appeared in the 16th May edition. ...Read the Article here.
